Using Auto Hide

Auto Hide is a useful feature for saving screen space when the contents of a Window are not needed. When Auto Hide for a window is on, the window will be collapsed leaving a named tab to the side of the screen.  The window can be revealed at anytime by rolling the cursor over the tab. If you are just viewing the content of the hidden Window the Window will collapse back once you move off it. If you want to make any selections in the Window and either click on the tab or click in the Window when it is revealed and the Window will stay open until you click elsewhere on the screen.

In the left-side of the following screenshot, the Model Contents panel is set to Auto Hide and the tab can be seen on the left of the screen.

In the right-side of the following screenshot,  the cursor is hovering over the tab and the window auto-opens.
