Copying Data to a Cost Plan

You can drag and drop the data from CADMeasure to CATO Cost Planning using the following methods:

Note: You can drag and drop the data from CATO CADMeasure to CATO Cost Planning only if the project data are stored within single project.

Drag and Drop from CADMeasure to Cost Planning DimSheet

You can drag and drop rows from CADMeasure DimSheet to Cost Planning DimSheet as illustrated in the following screenshot. The measurements can be dragged from the Measurements pane of CADMeasure to an open CATO Cost Planning DimSheet.

Click the DimSheet Link Mode toggle button on the Modes section of the Measurement ribbon. After the link is enabled in CADMeasure (see the Dim Sheet Link Mode button encircled in the following screenshot), you can draw on the Drawing pane and the measurements are included in the DimSheet automatically as illustrated in the following screenshot:

Open the respective cost plan in the CATO Cost Planning to find the measurements updated.

In addition, you can drag drop the measurements at any level on the Collated pane. Select the Collated check box on the View section of the Windows ribbon to show the Collated pane on the left pane. Drag any item (at any level) from the Collated pane and drop on the Dimsheet panel simiar to the following screenshot:

Note: You can drag drop from any level on the Collated pane and drop on to the Dimsheet panel. For example, the Length and its children on the tree are dragged and dropped on to the Dimsheet panel in the following screenshot. Similarly, you can drag Standard style category or Custom category and drop on to the Dimsheet panel so that the items under them (their children on the tree) are added to the Dimsheet panel.
