Configuring the Supplier or Project Details

Causeway administrators or buyer administrators can define custom data (questions) about the supplier for a particular project.  Typical questions defined include trade, start date, end date, package value and those related to the performance reviews created for the supplier working on the project.

Note: The first question type in any section must be a Tab.

To configure the questions that relate a supplier to a project, perform the following steps:

1.     Click Supplier Management Configuration > Project/supplier link sections from the Administration tab.

2.     Click Supplier/Project Details.

The Supplier/Project Details - list page is displayed.

3.     Click the Add button at the top left of the page to add a question.

The Supplier/Project Details - Create page is displayed.

4.     Enter or select the following details in the Questions section:

Field name

Description

Data type

Indicate whether the question is a check box, integer, string or any other data type. For example, Select. You can also select Trade or Coverage to include it as a question type. Based on your selection,

a Permission tab may also be displayed.

Tab

The sub-section of the form to which this field belongs to.

Sequence

The order in which the questions should appear.

Question code

A unique code to identify this question. Use a suitable naming convention to these questions for future reference.

Category

Select an option to specify how this question is shared in the system. If you are adding a new question the following rules apply:

1        Own Value – This keeps the question in the form, but does not use the answer provided by the supplier for the common answer.  The supplier would add a specific answer for your buying organisation.  An example of this type of questions is ‘Key Contact’ where the value will be different for your organisation.

2        Internal Only – This question is not to be seen by the supplier and can be used to store comments about the supplier that will only be seen by the buyer organisation.

Mandatory

Select this check box to make the question a mandatory one.

Allow negative values

If you select Money as the Data type, this check box appears. Select the check box to allow negative values for the Money data type.

Trade or Coverage

 Select Trade Classifications or Coverage Classifications from the drop-down list if you have selected Trade or Coverage in Data Type.

Is there an associated document for download

Select this check box if there is a document to be downloaded, add the file from your PC and enter a document label.

Unique Identifier?

Select this check box if this field is used to provide a unique identifier for this record.

Custom Label

Enter a label to display for the question.

Custom Help

The help file for this question.

Options

Enter the options available for user selection if you have chosen Select as the question type.

Default value

The default value based on the options that you have defined.

 

5.     Click the Show/Hide tab to set the fields to show and hide.

·         When this option is selected?: Select an option from the drop-down list based on which the show or hide properties will be set.

·         Select the respective Show and Hide and Add or Remove options displayed

·         Select an option from the Section drop-down list.

·         Select the fields to be hidden from the Field drop-down list.

·         Click Submit.

·         Click Save.

The Shown Fields and Hidden Fields display the options you have selected.

Note: To export the questions as a .tsv file, click Export at the top right of the page displayed. To import questions as a .tsv file, click the Import button.
