Configuring Secondary Transport Types

A secondary transport type can be used to download documents to a duplicate location for use within another external system.

The following conditions apply when you create a secondary transport type in Tradex:

·         The secondary transport for a document type cannot be created without creating a primary transport for that document type.

·          You can create as many secondary transports as required once the primary transport is created.

·          The secondary transport does not have the scheduling options; it will run at the same time as the primary transport (either scheduled or standard as it is currently).

·          The secondary transport will not have PDF document or attachment transport options; it is for data only.

·          The secondary transport allows single document downloads.

·          The secondary transport allows the selection of a transport method.

To use the secondary transport types for an invoice, perform the following steps:

1.     Click Download Options > Transports from the Administration tab.

The Transports - Create page is displayed.

2.     Click Create to create a new configuration.

3.     Select Invoice(Secondary) from the Document Type drop-down list.

4.     Select an option from the Data format drop-down list. For example, select Tradex data format if you want to download the data in the Tradex data format.

5.     Click Yes in Auto Download Transport to use automatic download transport. Otherwise, click No.

6.     Click Save.
