Configuring the VAT Rates

Causeway have rules on the difference the VAT amount can be in Tradex using online invoicing from the Tradex calculation using online invoicing functions.

The default VAT tolerance rate is five pence (5p). This means that you can change the VAT amount by a maximum of 5p. If you try changing it to more than 5p, the value will default back to within 5p.

You can set up a higher VAT Tolerance value for your own company (if you are the receiver). If you have the permissions, you can set this up by editing the VAT Tolerance in the Edit Company Details screen.

Note: You must contact Causeway support to update the VAT Tolerance value set up.

To change the VAT tolerance values, perform the following steps:

1.     Click Company Details > Edit company details from the Administration tab.

The trading partner details will be displayed.

2.     Click Next twice to go to the third Edit company details page.

If the VAT tolerance field shows a blank value, this means that the default value of 5P is applicable. The minimum VAT Tolerance value is 0, which means it must be

exactly as Causeway calculates it.

3.     Click Save to save your VAT rates.
