Configuring Internal Supplier Requests

In Tradex, normal users can request suppliers to be added to their database through the Internal Supplier Request process.  Buyer administrators can define the questions for the user, status and workflow applied during the Internal Supplier Request process. The internal supplier status is also set to configure the level the supplier is created through this process.

To configure internal supplier requests, perform the following steps:

1.     Click Supplier Management Configuration > Internal supplier request from the Administration tab.

The Maintain Internal supplier request page is displayed.

2.     Select the options for each question that should be completed by the end user from under the Questions tab that is displayed by default.

·         Collection: Select the question section from the drop-down list. For example, Vendor Details or Contacts.

·         List section: Indicates if this question is from a list section that may have multiple entries. If yes, the first line will be added. For example, one contact.

·         Tabs: Select the tab under which the questions are configured.

·         Question: Select the question that will be displayed to the normal user. If you are configuring a question for the Internal Supplier Request process, select the Select a colour option from the Question drop-down list to show or hide comments based on colour coding.

·         Display order: Specify the order in which the question section will be displayed. For example, 10 or 100.

3.     Click Add to add the selected question to the grid displayed on the page and repeat step 2 for all the required questions.

4.     Click Next or the Status tab to view the options under the Status tab.

5.     Select an option from the Status drop-drown list.

6.     Click the Configuration tab if you want to include trades and coverage in the internal supplier request. Perform the following step:

·         Select the Include trade classification check box to include trades in the request.

7.     Click Save to save the internal supplier request configuration.

Showing or Hiding Comments for Internal Supplier Requests

You can configure the comments that should be displayed for a particular question for internal supplier requests.

To configure show or hide comments for internal supplier requests, perform the following steps:

1.     Click Supplier Management Configuration > Supplier sections > Internal supplier request from the Administration tab.

The Internal Supplier Request - list page is displayed.

2.     Click Add to add a new question and to configure the display of comments.

3.     Select Notes from the Data Type drop-down list.

 

 

4.     Enter the order in which this question will be displayed in the Sequence field. For example, 100.

5.     Enter a code in the Question code field. For example, ISR_COLOUR_NOTES_GREEN.

6.     Ensure that the Category field displays a value of Own Value.

7.     Enter the label name that you want to display in the Custom label field. For example, Green comments.

8.     Click Save.

9.     Click Supplier Management Configuration > Internal supplier request from the Administration tab.

10.  Select Internal Supplier Request from Collection and then select the colour of the comment box that you want to display from the Question drop-down list. For example, select Red comments or Blue comments.

 

11.  Specify the order in which the question will be displayed in the Display order field. For example, 100 or 1000.

12.  Click Next to select an option from the Status drop-drown list, and then click Save.
