Continuous Length

A Continuous Length measures between numerous vertices.  They can be linked by straight lines or arcs.

To measure Straight segments, perform the following steps:

1.     Ensure the appropriate Object Snaps are on.

2.     Start the Command.

3.     Pick the first point.

4.     Pick the second and subsequent points.

5.     Press the Enter key to finish the measurement.

6.     The total length will be saved as a measurement.

7.     Enter a note if appropriate.

The measurement will appear graphically on screen and in the measurements window with the relevant number.

To measure an Arc segment:

8.     Ensure the appropriate Object Snaps are on

9.     Start the Command

10.  Pick the first point

11.  Pick the second and subsequent points

12.  At the start of the arc, type 'A' (for Arc) and then press the Enter key,.

 

13.  Using the Near point Object Snap, pick near the midpoint of the Arc

 

14.  Pick the End point of the arc

 

The mode returns automatically to straight line

15.  Pick subsequent points as necessary

16.  Press the Return key to finish the measurement.

The total length will be saved as a measurement.

17.  Enter a note if appropriate
