Interactive Measurements

It is possible to pick or 'digitise' points on the model to create measurements.  These are called Interactive Measurements.

The measurement tools are found on the Measurement tab of the ribbon.  Each type of measurement has its own panel:

·         Length

o        Single Length

o        Continuous Length

o        Rise or Fall Length

o        Face Edge

o        Face Perimeter

o        Perimeter

o        Perimeter Offset

·         Area/Volume

o        Irregular Area

o        Vertical Area

o        Pitched Area

o        Face Area

o        Volume

·         Count

o        Count 

o        Item Count

·         Dynamic: Dynamic Measurements are created by searching for specific property groups within the drawing.   For example, all lines AND polylines on LAYER External walls

o        Entity Measurement

o        Collection Measurement (Only Available in BIMMeasure)

There are four further Panels provided.

·         Next Measurement: To specify the settings for the next measurement by Category and Style.

Modes: To Switch between Add or Deduct mode, and to Turn On/Off the appearance of the Notes window after each measurement is taken.

Highlight: To specify the Highlight mode displayed when an object is selected.

Object Snaps: To accurately select specific points on the linework
